Ecology's Bellingham Field Office (BFO) in Bellingham, WA is looking to hire a Customer Service Specialist 2 (CSS2).
 
We are looking for applicants who have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor. A successful applicant will be; flexible and adaptable, have strong customer service skills, and enjoy working with a high energy team.

Duties
 
The Customer Service Specialist 2 position helps support BFO facilities and activities of thirty-five staff. The position independently manages the BFO fleet of state vehicles and solves complex operational problems that come with the daily operation of a vital office and staff. The position responds to BFO customers on a wide range of inquiries, complaints and logistical requests as the first contact for customers by phone and in person. Other duties include responding to public disclosure requests, reception coverage, and creative problem solving.
 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
An Associate's degree AND two (2) years of experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints or problems.

OR 

A Bachelor's degree

OR

Equivalent experience (four years) providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints or problems.
 
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced ability using editing software and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and Access and other databases.
 
Special Requirements/Conditions of Employment:
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain the ability to drive in order to perform the essential functions and assigned duties of this position.
