PMHNP - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

A little about you:
Are you a passionate psychiatric nurse practitioner that wants to work with a skilled and dedicated team of psychiatrists and other psychiatric nurse practitioners? Do you want to be a part of a dynamic team of mental health care professionals working hard to provide the best care for their patients? Do you want to work independently but collaboratively? Are you looking for a career with room to grow? Do you have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cohesively on a team? If so, we want to talk to you!

A little about us:
We are located in beautiful Palo Alto, right down the street from Stanford University where some of our psychiatrists have trained and currently teach. Our psychiatrists actively engage in local and national speaking engagements, work with start-ups and are happy to involve nurse practitioners interested in these avenues! Our psychiatrists and nurse practitioners are experienced, committed and excellent team players looking to welcome new colleagues! We also have an on- site, fulltime clinical coordinator/office administrator that takes care of scheduling/billing and everything in between.

A little about the job:
The treatment team will consist of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners working in collaboration with weekly supervision. You will be working independently but have the support and resources of the team. You will manage your own patients with the regular supervision of our psychiatrists. Ascend Wellness Group runs similarly to a concierge private practice, which means that you will not get inundated with patients and will receive significant time to perform thorough evaluations and follow-ups. A typical full day would consist of having 6-9 appointments, which allows our clinicians considerable amounts of time to provide high quality clinical care to their patients. Furthermore, we allow you the flexibility to plan your day in a way that best suits your treatment and work style, so that you can find the right balance between maintaining a comfortable patient flow and maximizing earning potential. Your patient population will generally be quite cooperative, motivated and grateful. This leads to many opportunities to follow your patients for an extended period of time which will allow you to witness their growth and clinical improvement. We have systems in place, but welcome fresh ideas and encourage our employees to help envision ways to consistently take us to the next level.
