Supply Chain Lead

Job purpose
The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for making sure our suppliers are performing to expectations and product is being delivered on time. The Supply Chain Lead is also responsible for optimizing ESP inventory levels, logistics cost and process improvements to increase efficiencies and cost savings.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
Manages Supplier Relationships
  •  Responsible for supplier OTD performance
  • Regularly communicates with suppliers by phone and email – expedite in escalated situations
  • Conducts performance reviews with suppliers to meet ESP’s expectations for on time delivery and high quality
  •  Takes ownership of day to day supplier relationships
  •  Defines, resolves and provides permanent solutions to supplier performance issues
  •  Responsible for price negotiation and supplier relationship issues to meet goals.
 Implements Annual Supply Chain Strategies that Drives Results and Provides Focus
  • Optimize inventory levels to reduce costs while maximizing on-time delivery to the customer through inventory management and replenishment method management.
  •  Works closely with all stakeholders to identify gaps in execution that need to be addressed to meet Company goals
  •  Participates in and helps establish long and short term goals and objectives with the Manager, Global Supply Base Management
  •  Monitors and communicates progress on goals closely, drives performance through supplier performance reviews.
  • Contributes to product and commodity sourcing strategies
  • Develops and maintains logistics strategies and pricing
 Develops an Annual Commodity Strategy that Drives Results
  •  Targets cost savings and profit improvement
  •  Sets and drives supplier optimization targets
  •  Supports Request for Quote (RFQ) activities
  •  Drives process improvement initiatives

Qualifications
Education, Licenses/Certifications and Work Experience 
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration/Management, or other related field; or an equivalent combination of education and supply chain experience. Familiarity with pressure situations and how to handle them in a professional business manner also required.
Job Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  •  Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as financial statements, contracts, and procedure manuals. Possesses high level business writing skills. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of ESP.
  •  Quantitative Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, graphs, and proportions to practical situations.
  •  Critical Thinking: Able to display high level reasoning skills in order to solve multiple, complex situations.
