Go Green in the City

Schneider Electric is leading the Digital Transformation in Energy Management and Automation. We are always on the lookout for bold ideas that can shape the future of our industries and our company. 

The Go Green in the City business case challenge is looking for students like you from around the world who are willing to put their skills and ideas to the test.

Solve one of our four real-life case challenges within energy management or submit your bold idea for efficient energy management in a city environment.

The Prize: You could be among the top teams to travel to Spain to compete for the Grand Prize – a job offer at Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation! Plus – a sponsored international trip to witness how Schneider Electric leads innovation in IoT and digital transformation around the world. 


HOW IT WORKS

Go Green in the City 2019 is open to two-member teams from anywhere in the world. 


To take part, you must:

 
  • Be a Bachelor’s (at least 2nd year) or Master’s student
  • Study Engineering, Business, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics and other Sciences
  • Location: worldwide (Team members must be studying in the same Region for the duration of the competition.)
  • At least one team member must be a woman, in line with our Diversity & Inclusion philosophy.
  • Be proficient in English (the Grand Finale pitch will be presented in English.)

 


TIMELINE & GUIDELINE

 
APPLICATION PHASE
2nd January - 25th May 2019 (20 weeks)
Create your account, team up with a friend, or find a teammate through the competition platform! (Please note: both teammates must be studying in the same Region.) Choose a competition category to work on with your teammate and submit your case when you are ready. It’s as easy as that!
 
Don’t have a teammate? Don’t worry! You can publish your profile with an introductory video and your skills inviting other students to join you on your bold project. Click here to find out more!
 
Deliverables: PowerPoint Presentation of 10 slides including problem statement, differentiation, operational availability, team profile, etc. to be submitted by 25th May 2019, 23:59 (UCT +0).
