CME Group is currently looking for a Derived Data Licensing and Partner Services (DDLPS) summer intern.
As part of CME Group’s Global Data Licensing & Services (GDLS) team, the Summer Intern, DDLPS will report directly and work closely with the Head of the Americas Senior Director based in Chicago. He/She will assist in the creation and execution of key projects with focused on the analysis of CME’s market data business and licensing.
The role will require an analytical, logical mindset with some independent work. The candidate will be provided with a high-level objective/project and then present their finding to the DDLPS Management team. This is a great opportunity for someone to apply their education and analytical abilities in a real-life use case within a large organization. The candidate will be required to undertake extensive investigatory research and collaborate across internal departments.  This person’s personality should be defined by their curiosity for understanding data trends to turn that data into actionable insights that will impact business decisions.
This candidate will assist the DDLPS team in day-to-day activities in support of Derived Data Licensing. This will include data analysis, report generation, and ad-hoc projects.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Consolidate, evaluate and analyze historical trends of CME’s market data business.
• Collaborate with the business to refine project goals and help solve real business challenges
• Work in a team environment to develop models and reports
• Design and implement creative approaches to identifying customer and financial modeling insights
Skills / Software Requirements:
• Understands basics of dashboards, reporting, and business intelligence systems
• Reporting and analysis
• Developing statistics and insights to support performance trends
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, statistics or related field
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Tableau
• Strong communication skills
• Organized, self-starter, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
Education:
•Currently pursuing a BA/BS or Masters/Advanced Degree
• Preferred majors: Political Science, Law, Math, Statistic, Finance or Economics
•3.0 Minimum GPA required
