Teams that validate interest for their solution will be eligible to compete for an offer to join Startupbootcamp AfriTech Accelerator and BonBillo’s Impact Accelerator.
Key Features
Social Entrepreneurship Framework: Apply MIT's "Disciplined Entrepreneurship", Google Venture's "Sprint", "Theory of Change" frameworks and more to design and test your solution to a local problem. Startupbootcamp AfriTech has sourced several innovation challenges from the local community.
Expert Mentorship: Expert Mentors from Startupbootcamp AfriTech and BonBillo provide guidance to design and test your solution. Learn from successful local entrepreneurs and corporate innovation leaders.
Co-Working Space and Residence: Work alongside local entrepreneurs in a vibrant environment with office space and amenities at the Old Foundry, Ideas Cartel, Greenpoint. Residence is included at Koornhoop guest house in Observatory.
South Africa Excursions: Understand and appreciate South Africa through excursions to the Townships, Robben Island, Table Mountain, Cape Point and Boulders Beach.
Kruger National Park Safari: The Kruger National Park Safari, ranked among the top safaris in the world, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the Big Five on show.
Social Entrepreneurship Extension: Extend your stay in Cape Town and make a lasting impact as you continue working on your project while exploring the city. Enjoy the full support of the VACorps Program, which includes weekly excursions and accommodation in Observatory alongside entrepreneurs and interns from all over the world.
Pricing
Early Bird Price of $3,250 until June 15th (From original price of $5,000). This includes residence, co-working space, events and excursions. It excludes flights to Cape Town, daily food and commute.
Optional Safari – 3rd to 4th Aug 2019: Additional $700. This includes all costs for the Safari.
Optional Internship – 5th to 30th Aug 2019: Additional $1,350. This includes full VACorps support, Friday activities and program culture series, co-working space at the Inner Cities Ideas Cartel, Greenpoint, and Rentaroom housing in Observatory.
