Job Description:
We see a variety of clients including children in early intervention, schools and in the clinic setting. We serve children with a variety of disabilities and delays including Apraxia, articulation deficits, CP, Down Syndrome, speech and language delays, and many children on the autism spectrum. As a member of our therapy team, we expect you to be always thinking about how you can best treat the children on your caseload. This included preparing personalized materials for clients, researching new techniques and best practices, or creating materials for families to better understand a skill or diagnoses you are working with.
Typical Week:
Therapist are considered full-time exempt are are expected to work 40+ hours per week below is a typical week for a speech therapists. As a clinical fellow your first few weeks will include additional supervision time and a reduced schedule to help you prepare for the clients you will be seeing. As you demonstrate competency with your clients supervision will reduce to the standard level of supervision.
- 25-32 hours of direct treatment
- 5 hours documentation
- 2 hours of material prep
- 2 hours clinic/admin/community time
