Summary
 
A joint postdoctoral Fellow position in data sciences in Dr. Vince Calhoun's laboratory with specific application to forensic neuroscience repository in Kent Kiehl's laboratory is currently available at The Mind Research Network. The position is located in sunny Albuquerque, NM.   
 
Duties include working with a diverse research team on several grant funded studies examining the cognitive and neural systems underlying psychopathy, substance abuse, and related illnesses.  We are also actively contributing to the emerging field of neuroprediction of future behavior.  Candidates with a broad range of skills, including programming in Matlab, Python, and R are encouraged to apply. Machine learning/deep learning training is also useful but additional training will be available.  
 
The position includes access to the world's largest forensic neuroscience data set – over 4000 offenders from a wide variety of security levels ranging from minimum security all the way to super-max.   The post doc will have ample opportunities to write manuscripts from this data set and incorporate new ideas.  
 
Applicants with publications in graduate school will be most competitive.
 
Requirements
 
Requires a Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, computer science or related field and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been attained. Those with experience and interest in genetics, and/or substance abuse are strongly encouraged to apply.
 
Must have Matlab and programming experience.
