Topical Writer/Producer
WKOW, Madison, Wisconsin’s ABC affiliate, has a rare opening for an aggressive individual with strong news topical writing skills to join our Marketing Team as a Topical Writer/Producer. The successful candidate will write, produce and edit exceptional topicals and special sweeps promotion. This position is responsible for developing consistently effective daily topical promotional spots for all WKOW newscasts. Other responsibilities will include creating Proof of Performance (POP) spots and production work in Marketing as needed.
You must be able to write compelling marketing promos, collaborate effectively with newscast producers and reporters, and consistently push for the best video to sell the story. REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work quickly, handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines under pressure. Preferred candidates will have a college degree and experience in advertising, marketing and/or communications, along with experience in non-linear editing and shooting. Knowledge of After Effects, Premiere, Avid and Photoshop are a plus.
