Internship - Compliance and Corporate Strategy
Edelman Financial Engines is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its team as a Compliance and Corporate Strategy Intern in Boston, MA.
The Compliance Team is at the heart of making Edelman Financial Engines a successful and regulatory compliant organization.The intern will have an opportunity to work on two unique projects, one for Compliance and the other for Corporate Strategy. This is perfect for business majors, those interested in pre-law, people with an interest in investments and securities, or for those curious about how companies set themselves up to succeed. The work is substantive and has a direct impact on our employees, as well as on our relationship with our clients and regulators.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in substantive projects which might include drafting and editing policies and procedures affecting employees, researching regulations and laws surrounding business conduct in the securities industry, assisting in drafting and presenting training to employees, and other such projects.
- Conduct industry/competitor search and summaries
- Create a process to update search periodically
- Help update SharePoint and use as a key information depository
Requirements:
- Research skills, familiarity with financials, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Desired Majors:
Business, Economics, Finance or Pre-Law
