Student Photographer

BASIC FUNCTION
William Easton Design seeks qualified students to capture, edit, and archive photos for our clients. This position combines creative photography with technical competency to provide photography content for our wide array of publication channels, but primarily web and social media). Photographers will be responsible for operating the photo studio as well as attending & photographing occasional events. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Punctual, reliable, and professional
  • Versed in camera operation
  • Capable with photo editing software
  • Self-directed & good at communicating clearly and assertively
  • Organized project manager: able to schedule shoot dates, and edit projects within target deadlines
  • Ability to accept and incorporate supervisor feedback on projects
  • Must provide samples of previous photography work
  • (Desired) Experience working in a photo studio
  • (Desired) Experience with Mac OSX & Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Develop work that is web-ready.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients on workflow status.
  • Successfully implement feedback regarding process and photographic decisions.
  • Collaborate with marketing representatives for implementation of marketing concepts and designs
  • Maintain professionalism and trust with clients and team members. 
  • Enrolled as a student at The University of Iowa. Degree in art or graphic design preferred.
  • Ability to be positive and respectful in working with a diverse population.
  • Strong attention to detail, including proofreading skills.
  • Excellent written language skills and analytic abilities.
  • Able to receive feedback in a positive and effective manner, while taking pride in own work.
  • Must be dependable team player with the ability to self-motivate. 

WORK HOURS
Pay range based on experience is $11-15/hr. Hours will vary but most likely in the 8-15 hours per week.

LOCATION
Our office is located conveniently in downtown Iowa City.
