Tax Analyst / Sr. Tax Analyst

Position Summary
With moderate guidance and direction, supports the planning, accounting, and compliance teams with domestic and/or international income tax laws and regulations and with generally accepted accounting principles.

Primary Responsibilities
Tax Analyst:
1) Prepares and maintains tax records, returns, reports, and other related materials.
2) Supports the development and implementation of tax strategy.
3) Identify opportunities to manage or reduce tax liabilities.
4) Conduct research and analysis of tax technical issues.
5)Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

Sr. Tax Analyst:
1) Develops and maintains tax records, returns, reports, and other related materials.
2) Leads the development and implementation of tax strategy.
3) Devises legal means to minimize tax liability using knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
4) Researches and recommends the development of alternative tax treatments to alleviate or reduce tax

Candidate Qualifications
Candidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.

Basic Qualifications
Tax Analyst:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related area.
2. 2 years of relevant corporate tax experience.
3. Knowledge of state and federal taxes.
4. Knowledge of tax accounting principles under ASC 740.

Sr. Tax Analyst:
1. Bachelors degree in a related area.
2. 4 years of relevant tax experience.
3. Knowledge of state and federal taxes.
4. Knowledge of tax accounting principles under FAS 109 and APB 23.

Preferred Qualifications
Tax Analyst:
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
2. 4 years of relevant tax experience.
3. CPA Designation
4. Knowledge of and experience with OneSource tax compliance software and Checkpoint tax research tools.

Sr. Tax Analyst:
1. Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
2. Advanced degree in taxation.
3. 6 years of relevant tax experience.
4. CPA Designation
