POSITION SUMMARY:

The CSG Intern is responsible for the support of solution design initiatives for internal and external
customers, as well as, the support of new business development and analytics. Additionally, the intern’s skill-set will be leveraged to work on Project Management Office (PMO) owned projects and initiatives throughout the company.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
  •     Supports solution design efforts for customers. Works with customers, sales team, and operations to build and implement creative solutions to solve complex supply chain issues and reduce overall logistics cost for customers.
  •     Builds and leverages effective alliances within and across the company. Leads cross-functional teams to develop business cases, RFP responses, network analysis studies, customer presentations, and processes
  •     Provides support to Sales team. Develops pricing, facility layouts, profitability analyses, and initial P&L budgets for new business opportunities.
  •     Works with Business Owners and Executive Sponsors to prepare project documents for Steering Committee approval
  •     Works with all internal resources to support the management account initiatives and deliverables. Helps identify project timelines and milestones, tracks progress, and ensures deadlines are met.
  •     Shadowing of Project Manager I and Project Manager II in order to gain valuable project management experience
  •     Prepares customer presentations.
Required Skills
  •     Strong ability to problem-solve, generate ideas, and develop creative
  •    This position requires interaction with internal/external customers. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management, peers, and clients is necessary. Excellent problem- solving, task prioritization, follow-up, and customer service skills required.
  •    Strong analytical and financial analysis skills necessary, including the ability to develop cost models and work directly with the Finance department
  •    Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
  •    Candidate should be a self-starter that shows the ability to work independently and in a team setting and at times requires little guidance to complete tasks
  •    Curious, energetic, and strives to learn
Required Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a College or University working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Transportation, and/or Sales Support; or in a related field.
