CASA of NH Communications Assistant VISTA

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Hampshire originated from the belief that all children have the right to grow up in a safe, permanent home and that a child who is the victim of abuse or neglect is entitled to highly effective advocacy. By recruiting, training and supervising volunteers to represent children as their Guardians ad Litem (GALs), CASA works to ensure that these innocent children have a strong and sensible voice throughout a confusing court process. Since 1989, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Hampshire has protected the right for our state's most vulnerable children to live, learn, and grow in the embrace of a loving family. We recruit, train and supervise volunteers from all walks of life to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children who come to the attention of NH’s courts through no fault of their own.

The VISTA member will work with communications/development team to produce a fundraising event in the North Country during the summer of 2019. This event will be to help raise awareness and provide some additional funding for the CASA organization. • Work with communications director to establish and execute a marketing plan focus in communities north of the Lakes Region to get better exposure and help recruit new volunteer advocates in the northern part of the state. • Work with communications team to develop a series of web landing pages focused on communities in the northern part of the state. Develop volunteer profiles of current advocates to be shared as part of the landing pages. • Work with communications/development team to help organize and plan a series of speaking engagements throughout the year within communities from the Lakes Region and North.
