Assistant, Strategic Planning & Operations

Summary of Position:
Lionsgate is seeking an experienced full time Executive Assistant to support both the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Motion Picture Group as well as the SVP, Strategic Planning & Operations (SP&O). This position requires an ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient with a high level of professional etiquette, common-sense and confidentiality. Ideal candidates will be interested in a career in entertainment business finance, strategy or operations.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide critical support to the COO, Motion Picture Group and SP&O department by handling advanced level administrative duties, performing confidential assignments, and coordinating day-to-day operations.
  • Manage two demanding executive calendars which includes, but is not limited to: all travel and meeting arrangements, making/confirming reservations, detailed driving/parking instructions, special event RSVPs, and all logistical preparations.
  • Facilitate communications for the COO which involves rolling calls, updating contacts, and responding to internal and external inquiries.
  • Adhere to company protocol while flagging and monitoring the approval flow for incoming travel authorizations and expense reports from the Motion Picture Group.
  • Responsible for the administration and organization of materials submitted by multiple sources to be presented to Lionsgate’s C-Suite executives, investors and potential partners.
  • Create and maintain effective filing systems, databases, timeline tracking resources, and meeting agendas to ensure the SP&O department runs at highest efficiency.
  • Complete ad-hoc assignments by determining priorities, managing timing, cooperating with others, troubleshooting, with the aptitude to make instantaneous adjustments.

Experience & Skills:
  • 1-2 years prior relevant experience, supporting Senior-Level Executives.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • Passion for the business of entertainment with an interest in a career in finance/strategy/operations.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat as well the ability to quickly learn new software technology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to concisely and confidently interact with high-level executives.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, exercise significant discretion and ethical judgment.
  • Demonstrate superior organizational skills with a devotion to detail.
  • Exerts a self-starter demeanor with a boundary-less (no task too big or small) approach to working within a team.
  • Must be able to work extended hours if needed (i.e. may include weekends).
