Project Manager
Job description
BASIC FUNCTIONS
- Planning, controlling and follow up of project’s business plans
- Management and organization of internal cross-functional teams according to the goals of projects
- Coordination of development activities with the competence centers (design, test, etc.) and the production as well as customer teams
- Drive projects through phases & gate reviews according to WABCO development process
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Project controlling including responsibility for a defined budget and resource allocation
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Perform project risk assessments and direct appropriate actions and escalate when necessary
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques using stop light or other PjM tools.
- Drive project management principles throughout the organization
- Ensuring timely delivery of Engineering and Customer Prototypes
TRAVEL REQUIRMENTS
- Approximately 10% - 30%

- WABCO Engineering , Sales, Purchasing, and Value Stream employees and supporting departments and Production

MINIUMUM KNOWLEDGE AND BACKGROUND REQUIRMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or similar technical field
- Master’s degree in management (MBA) optional
- PMP certification preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in project management or design engineering work
- Experience building or contributing to business cases
- Experience leading cross functional teams
- Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal (including presentation skills)
- Experience in manufacturing and automotive industries preferred
- Organized, task-oriented and engaging manner preferred
- Very good English language skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project required
- SAP Knowledge optional
- Familiarity with 6 Sigma methodologies preferred
- Green or Black belt certified optional
