Job description

BASIC FUNCTIONS

  • Planning, controlling and follow up of project’s business plans
  • Management and organization of internal cross-functional teams according to the goals of projects
  • Coordination of development activities with the competence centers (design, test, etc.) and the production as well as customer teams
  • Drive projects through phases & gate reviews according to WABCO development process
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Project controlling including responsibility for a defined budget and resource allocation
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Perform project risk assessments and direct appropriate actions and escalate when necessary
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques using stop light or other PjM tools.
  • Drive project management principles throughout the organization
  • Ensuring timely delivery of Engineering and Customer Prototypes

  •  Approximately 10% - 30%

MINIUMUM KNOWLEDGE AND BACKGROUND REQUIRMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or similar technical field
  • Master’s degree in management (MBA) optional
  • PMP certification preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management or design engineering work
  • Experience building or contributing to business cases
  • Experience leading cross functional teams
  • Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal (including presentation skills)
  • Experience in manufacturing and automotive industries preferred
  • Organized, task-oriented and engaging manner preferred
  • Very good English language skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project required
  • SAP Knowledge optional
  • Familiarity with 6 Sigma methodologies preferred
  • Green or Black belt certified optional
