Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician
Friendship Hospital for Animals is seeking a motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician
(LVT) with anesthesia experience to join our Veterinary Ophthalmology team for a full time position. The ideal candidate will be a positive individual with experience in specialty veterinary medicine and
small animal anesthesia. As an excellent multi-tasker and a team player, we are seeking a candidate with strong communication skills, is compassionate, and focuses on excellent customer service and patient care.
Duties include:
1. Assisting board-certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist in routine office visits including obtaining pertinent patient histories, vitals and weights
2. Care and surgical procedures; including monitoring anesthesia and providing pre- and post-op care for patients.
3. Assistance in routine diagnostics such electroretinography, ocular ultrasound, and labwork collection
4. Diagnostic procedures such as diamond bur keratotomies
Operational Hours include:
8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday with ½ hour scheduled lunch break
