Pharmacy Technician (Apprenticeship Program)

As a Technician, you can quickly grow to become an Advanced Technician, a Pharmacy Lead, Trainer or Supervisor.

Program Details:
The D-H WRI Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program is designed to give you the knowledge and skills you need to start a career in the Pharmacy. Up to 20 individuals will be selected and hired by Dartmouth-Hitchcock to become Certified Pharmacy Technicians in our Specialty or Hospital (inpatient) Pharmacies.
During the 9-week training period, you will earn college credits and an hourly training wage. This full-time, hands-on training program includes both classroom and on-the-job training. Courses offered include Healthcare Professional Communication, Processing and Handling of Medications and Medication Orders, Procurement, Billing, Reimbursement, and Patient & Medication Safety.
At the end of the program, you will sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam and be enrolled in a 2,000 hour U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship. The starting salary for Apprentices upon graduation is $17.00 per hour.
