Internship - Business Analyst

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Business Analyst Intern will have the opportunity to deliver on business challenges that align with their field of study - all while working alongside field professionals and leaders who will support the Intern's skills and experience. The BA Intern's responsibilities will include providing support to the CIO and Vice President, Sales & Business Development, project-based duties, networking opportunities, job shadowing and special projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide technical direction in support of PeriShip sales initiatives
  • Document client requirements and processes
  • Work cross-functionally to complete high impact projects
  • Assist with research on new and existing projects
  • Receive intellectual and creative opportunities to tackle a problem and develop your own proposed solutions
  • Assist in developing, documenting and deploying project management standards in support of key PeriShip initiatives
  • Conduct a variety of general administrative tasks as assigned
  • Assist with data entry and reporting
  • Assist in document business requirements - gathering & documenting user requirements
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Full-time undergraduate or graduate student; or recent graduate from degree program
  • Major/field of study related to applicable internship (Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain or Operations)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other applications as required
  • Ability to commit to a 40-hour work week during 10-12 week summer program
  • Familiar with industry publications and resource guides
