Summary
 
The Event Marketing (Sourcing Specialist) implements and executes sourcing strategies to deliver against goals and objectives. Has experience with event or experiential marketing (events, roadshows, pop up shops, trade shows/conventions, festivals etc.). Strong work ethic and analytical skills are a must, along with the ability to collaborate with client services personnel. Multi-tasking between various initiatives, team members, spends, systems and processes is imperative to deliver against goals and strategies of the sourcing team. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute sourcing strategies to deliver against goals and objectives
  • Work collaboratively with client services to ensure the delivery of marketing programs and initiatives
  • Responsible for facilitating and implementing new supplier partners within the supply base to ensure success for all parties
  • Responsible for managing the delivery of contractual terms, statement of works and pricing agreements
  • Assist in ensuring positive and successful supplier relationships and managing supplier performance to deliver against KPIs
  • On-going assessment of current suppliers to ensure focus of optimizing cost savings, innovation and process improvements
  • Execute and facilitate sourcing processes within spends to ensure they are consistent, effective and efficient 
  • Assist Sourcing Leads in various projects and initiatives as needed
  • Position has potential for additional spend responsibilities to be added

  • Must have experience working for or running experiential events or event marketing campaigns
  • Sourcing and/or project management for events, roadshows, pop up shops, trade shows/conventions, festivals, venue-based sampling
  • Extremely organized and able to communicate well with others across various divisions within the company
  • Ability to identify and provide conflict resolution and solutions to challenges and issues
  • Collaborate and proactively meet with project managers and process champions to improve and streamline processes that provide value and efficiency
  • Able to deliver in an extremely fast paced environment and manage a high workload
  • Independent worker, yet dedicated to team work
 
Education and/or Experience:
Preferred, but not required: Bachelor's Degree with a 2.8+ GPA from a four-year college or university; OR Associates Degree from a two-year college and combined experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
 
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. 
 
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
 
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel. Typing skills should be a minimum of 55 wpm.
