SSM Health's New Graduate Nurse Residency Program helps nurse graduates grow into confident, seasoned professionals through a 12-month educational pathway. The program involves a rigorous clinical and didactic training period that prepares the nursing graduate for real-life scenarios.

New graduate nurses across the SSM Health system have the opportunity to connect and learn from one another as they undergo training to enhance their confidence, knowledge and practical skill. The comprehensive curriculum - designed to enrich and compliment the nurses' education - addresses SSM Health disease-process protocols and incorporates techniques and tips for prioritization, critical thinking and decision-making skills. The training involves monthly classes and hands-on practice so that the new nurse graduate becomes familiar with the technology and equipment used at SSM Health.
