Marketing Digital Specialist

Join our Marketing team as a Digital Specialist and help to maintain and update the Science Museum’s website (smm.org). This position will ensure that smm.org is up to date with accurate information, assist the UX/UI developer/designer with updates to provide an experience that is user-friendly, and will create marketing landing pages. This position will assist with pulling top-level data to measure the success of the website and share those findings with the content, analytics, and sponsorship teams.

In addition, this role will be responsible for pulling data segments from the organizations CRM (Tessitura) and will ultimately deploy mass marketing emails.

This role will closely partner with the marketing analytics, content, creative, and corporate partnership teams. This role will report to the Brand Experience Manager and will be an essential role in maintaining and enhancing the Science Museum's overall brand experience

Work Environment: Fast paced, collaborative office setting.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute day-to-day website (smm.org) of updates that are requested by internal clients using the CMS, Drupal. This position will also be responsible for ongoing maintenance of site, ensuring that all promotions and calendars are up to date.
  • Will create marketing campaign landing pages - using industry best practices - ultimately leading to higher conversions.
  • Will partner with the internal content team to ensure that messaging across the website is clear and consistent and web friendly.
  • Will work closely they SMM’s UX/UI developer/designer to ensure that website has ultimate usability and accessibility for all users.
  • Delivers monthly web reports using a variety of tools to report on agreed upon KPIs.
  • Will act as the marketing point person for the organizations CRM system, Tessitura. Responsibilities will include pulling data segments to send mass marketing emails, updating data and serve on the power user group.
  • Updates and maintains museum’s digital signage.
  • Other digital focus projects as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Communications, Marketing, English or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of coding in HTML and CSS.
  • Demonstrated experience in a content management system, preferably Drupal.
  • Demonstrated experience with Photoshop and able to do minor edits to files (photo resize, button updates).
  • Proven experience pulling data from Google Analytics to assess agreed upon KPIs.
  • Experience working within a CRM system-with the ability to pull data segments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Fluency in language(s) other than English valued (Hmong, Somali, Spanish).
