Photo Intern

The Rivard Report is currently looking for a summer photography intern to join our award-winning journalism team.

The Rivard Report is San Antonio’s leading local online news source. We are nonprofit and nonpartisan. We cover all that is best about San Antonio: its personalities, neighborhoods, businesses, culture, cuisine, arts and entertainment.

The Rivard Report photography intern should be engaged in the community, motivated to push themselves and learn, and work well with a small team of talented journalists. The Rivard Report photography intern’s main goal is to illustrate RR’s stories to the best of their ability and to tell a story through imagery.

You will be working with a team of two photojournalists. Video experience is encouraged. Spanish language is preferred.

We are looking for student journalists who are juniors, seniors or recent graduates. We prefer interns who have experience at a college or other newspaper or magazine, and who have a career interest in journalism.

The internship will run 12 weeks but is flexible. Interns must provide their own camera equipment. This is a paid position.
