Facilities Intern
Bill Jacobs Motorsport is seeking a summer Facilities Intern to join the Corporate team. Bill Jacobs Motorsport is a family-owned and entrepreneurial company supporting luxury brands such as BMW, MINI, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Volkswagen in addition to start-ups Current Automotive and SHIFT by Bill Jacobs.
SUMMARY
Responsible to administratively assist the Facilities Manager in the maintenance of the company’s facilities including the service, maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Catalogs all facilities-related vendors and ensures that contract/engagement information is accurate and up-to-date. Researches and identifies alternative vendors. Creates a schedule, based on contract expiration, of bidding out the service(s).
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, completes the Facility Management Comprehensive Maintenance Plan spreadsheet, including but not limited to:
· General facility information
· Facilities inventory
· Facilities overview of overall conditions
· Budget summary
· Preventative maintenance plan
· Health and safety environmental awareness
· Integrated pest management
· Indoor environmental quality
· Energy benchmarking
· Identification of major projects during the previous year
· Planned capital projects
· Facilities estimated expenses – 5-year capital plan
Implements a Facilities Department playbook to define all key Facilities processes and procedures, including but not limited to:
- Annual services (non-regulated)
- Annual tests (regulated)
- Certificate of insurance procedure
- Contractor selection and specifications process
- Key/Fob access control procedures
- Auditing and updating alarm codes, procedures, and emergency call lists
- Facility / equipment inspections
- Emergency vendor call list
