Charity Marketing Tent Volunteer

Damuth Incorporated is extending the opportunity for students to partake in a movement we see as being beneficial to human kind. Please let us know why this movement resonates with you. Our focus with this volunteer opportunity is to create community engagement, through an internship dedicated to the mission brought to us by our premier charity. This philanthropic movement we at Damuth Incorporated are aligned with; is to create a virtual brain bank to serve as a repository of intellect, where we can deposit expertise, experience, intellect, brain power and more.

Now picture Africans and African leaders tapping into this repository to make withdrawals, transfer knowledge, expertise and much more. Our purpose is to generate awareness for the African Brain Bank organization, whom is committed to galvanizing African leaders and professionals from all walks of life, with a common interest in seeing Africa evolve out of its economic doldrums in our generation and stopping Africa’s brain drain.

The KayebaNingmua Foundation is the brainchild of Rev. Pam Fomunung, who saw it as a befitting memorial in honor of the earthly authors of her and her siblings. After proposing this great idea and taking the initiative to lay the first foundational stone in generously launching its funding, we all agreed that this foundation would be the best way to keep alive the memory and thus the legacy of our parents.
The couple after whom this foundation was created epitomized what anyone would describe as loving, responsible, humble, prayerful, and God fearing. In a world where and era when it was fashionable to blindly and ambitiously pursue material things while casting aside morality and humanity, this couple chose the moderate path to life's journey, instead anchoring their lives on God and simplicity. They made a habit of shunning conflict but were ever ready to intervene to bring peace and understanding among contending parties. They believed in hard work, always preceded by pious fervent and consistent prayers. Growing up under their care, we were inculcated into those values. On Sundays, if any of their children refused to attend church service, that child would be denied one of the three daily meals. That's how serious they took to and looked to God to guide them and their children.

They gladly accepted parental sacrifices by denying themselves some of life's comforts just to ensure that their modest income paid for our secondary school education or the equivalent of completing high school in the US. This foundation has already done a lot to contribute to the wellbeing of dozens, if not a hundred people, directly and indirectly. Donations and funding of many people-centered programs and projects have been carried out and the footprints of the KAYEBANINGMUA FOUNDATION can be seen in many places both in Africa and the USA. It is our prayer and hopes that this foundation shall continue to grow from strength to strength as the years go by. May next generation of their descendants would find it important to keep it going as they pursue other objectives and interests in the spirit of this selfless couple .

WHY YOU SHOULD BE A VOLUNTEER

For decades, Africans and African leaders alike have complained about Africa’s brain drain, the phenomenon that sees our best and brightest young and senior minds emigrate the continent, sometimes risking life and limb in the process, for what they believe to be greener pastures in foreign lands of opportunity, whether it be Europe, Asia or the USA. Today, AFRICA’S BRAIN BANK, a sister organization to AFRICAONLINE MEDIA CORPORATION and an upstart non-profit organization poised to usher in a new age of polyvalent development for Africa, is putting an end to this longstanding, unfortunate brain drain.

AFRICA’S BRAIN BANK has brought Africa the solution to Africa’s brain drain! With AFRICA’S BRAIN BANK, it doesn’t matter where the brainpower is, Africa and Africans can tap into it and Africa will definitely benefit from it since it isn’t limited by geography. Thanks to our mission, all the intellectual capital deposited into AFRICA’S BRAIN BANK will be available for withdrawal and use throughout Africa and the diaspora on behalf of Africa and Africans.

AFRICA’S BRAIN BANK is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization poised to bring together leaders and professionals from all walks of life with a common interest in seeing Africa evolve out of its economic doldrums in our generation. We believe that we can help reshape the future of the much-maligned continent by promoting and organizing the exchange of ideas, insights on policy, resources and more via a series of recurring events and forums around the world.

We pride ourselves on assembling a coalition of African experts in various industry sectors from across the diaspora and Africa because we believe that together, we can end the brain drain that continues to plague the resource-rich continent. To that end, we are urging all Africans and people of African descent to be a part of AFRICA’S BRAIN BANK. As the African proverb goes, "Charity begins at home," so we pray and implore you to help us fulfill this greater purpose.
