Legislative Policy Intern

Responsibilities: Legislative interns will be tasked with researching events in our target legislators’ home districts with strong focus on legislative coffees and forums. Interns will be expected to research the event and accompany staff to the events. Their primary focus will be in assisting staff with in-district efforts to bring legislators on board.

Expectations: Legislative interns will be expected to have a firm understanding of the legislative district breakdown in Iowa. They must also be able to easily identify all key legislators. Being aware of the who the legislators are is critical to an effective district visit. These interns will also be expected to know the language and talking points completely.
