Assistant Director, Equal Opportunity & Employee Relations

Valencia College is now hiring an Assistant Director, Equal Opportunity & Employee Relations to join the Organizational Development team.
In this role you will be under the supervision and direction of the Dir, Equal Opportunity and Employee Relations, the Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the daily administration of the Title IX/EO activities for Valencia College, and conducting inquiries/investigations. Coordinates the intake and support process for issues relating to sexual harassment (including sexual assault), interpersonal violence, stalking, and other discrimination/harassment concerns. 

Responsible for providing information to employees and students regarding current policies and procedures, administrative processes, and addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general support. Provides educational outreach, trainings, and assists in the development of marketing and educational materials to employees and students on the topics of sexual harassment, interpersonal violence, stalking, and other discrimination/harassment topics. 

Assists in resolving complaints of harassment, discrimination, and related misconduct, improper activities, and other employee relations concerns. Develops an inquiry/investigation plan, interviews involved parties, collects and analyzes relevant data, conducts a prompt and thorough review, and provides a detailed, unbiased report regarding the findings of the investigation to the Dir, Equal Opportunity and Employee Relations.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (required). Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (preferred).
  • Previous experience at a college or university setting, preferably in human resources, training/development, or student affairs. 
  • Previous experience developing and facilitating educational training and outreach, preferably to both students and employees.
  • A demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion.

Salary: $47,722 to $55,477 Per Year
