VYDC - Collaborative Youth Programs AmeriCorps Member
The Vermont Youth Development Corps AmeriCorps (VYDC) program is recruiting AmeriCorps members for the 2019-2020 service year! AmeriCorps is a national service program that creates community service opportunities across the country, and VYDC places AmeriCorps members throughout Vermont to promote hope, justice, and well-being for all Vermont youth and families. The Collaborative is one of the sites with which VYDC places AmeriCorps members.
The Collaborative promotes a healthy, involved community supporting substance-free youth in a caring environment and provides programming for low-income and at-risk youth and families.
The VYDC-Collaborative Youth Programs AmeriCorps Member
(1) recruits youth participants
(2) plans & implements civic engagement, recreation, and other enrichment activities
(3)promotes the community garden & nutrition
(4) helps plan & run community events
(5) creates & administers evaluations to youth
(6) networks & builds community partnerships
(7) recruits & manages volunteers
(8) secures non-federal in-kind donations for member-supported programs
(9) creates & enhances community outreach and communication systems, such as posters, social media, websites & press releases.
