Application Engineer

Responsibilities:
As an Application Engineer, you will:
- Play with, test, and evaluate the latest cutting-edge Virtual Reality, visualization, advanced audiovisual and IT technology to make sure they work as advertised. We enjoy being the test dummies for new technology!
- Design and develop intuitive user interfaces (UIs) and system control applications that people are not intimidated by or afraid to use
- Write control system code that is robust, bug-free, and readable by other humans (programmers included)
- Combine UIs and control system code to deliver a top-notch user experience for our clients. Let's be honest, our goal is to make our clients smile when they use their brand-new, high-tech toys every day.
- Verify and validate overall system functionality by performing QC processes and code reviews. We know it sounds boring, but it's not. Plus it has the added benefit of being totally necessary. No one writes perfect code the first time and we enjoy helping each other out.
- Travel with your teammates to various locations around the globe to personally hand-deliver the systems to our clients
Qualification:
This career is definitely for you if:
- You have a 4-year degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or other engineering/programming related fields
- You are proficient in C, C++, C#, or Java
- You know your way around Windows and Linux operating systems
- You have a knack for designing and creating intuitive UIs to deliver exceptional UXs
- You like people and enjoy working in a team of world class developers
- You are courteous, professional, and communicate well with other people
- You take your positive attitude very seriously and do your best to exercise it despite the usual challenges you face when working with new technology
You are extra qualified if:
- You have written, debugged, and deployed AMX or Crestron control systems for a real client in real life
- You have experiences in programming and setup of audio DSPs, windowing processors, or similar equipment
- You possess crazy good troubleshooting skills
- You love helping other people and are not afraid to get your hands dirty in the process
- You have built a computer part by part at least once in your life
- You like to tinker with audio/visual and electronic components
- You have setup and played with databases and web development tools
