Postdoctoral Fellowship in Water, Energy, and the Environment

The Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow in Water, Energy, and the Environment will work on water security research at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) at the Doha-based Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU). Scholar's research will focus on aquifer mapping, groundwater mapping, and other water security related issues for the region. This grant supports the Statement of Intent signed by NASA/JPL and HBKU. The project may lead to the launch of a satellite-borne radar imaging technology that can be used to map underground aquifer in Qatar, with wide applications for understanding climate change on our planet and water traces on arid planets like Mars.  

To be eligible, candidates must have received their Ph.D. no earlier than 2013. Additionally, applicants must receive their Ph.D. before they depart to begin their postdoctoral research.
