General Purpose of the Position:
The incumbent Provides advice on the cultivation of crops and deals with the plant growth in the agricultural cooperatives. Elaborate and update plans, budgets and production processes to enable new ranches; Evaluate and propose improvements for these processes in existing ranches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning and Development:
- Develop proposals for new ranches ' work plan: Description of the work to be done, equipment, machinery and personnel that will be needed, and estimation of the time required to complete such work.
- Prepare cost estimates for such work. These estimates should include materials, labor, diesel and other costs.
- Prepare detailed sketches for irrigation facilities. These sketches should indicate the distribution of main, Sub-Main and Sprinkler
- Prepare budgets for irrigation facilities; these budgets must include detailed description of materials and labor to be used.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Knowledge:
Comprehensive knowledge of irrigation systems and equipment
- Comprehensive knowledge of agricultural machinery and implements
- Wide knowledge of soil types
- Extensive knowledge of oriental vegetables and other products grown by Lucky Farms, Inc.
- Basic knowledge for elaboration of plans and budgets
- Extensive knowledge of agricultural regulations (county, state of California, etc.) that regulate the activities of Lucky Farms, Inc.
Skills:
Ability to plan activities of land preparation, planting, irrigation and application of fertilizers and pesticides
