Landscape Design Build Internship Program Opportunity

Mission:
The Internship opportunity was created to introduce the student to the Design/Build sector of the landscape architecture profession. The internship exposes the student to a wide range of professional interaction and field experiences within the design
department, construction department and the maintenance department, exploring the many roles of our team members within a project.

Goal:
This program is intended to develop the intern into an entry-level designer, with the
confidence and skills necessary to excel as they return to finish their education and enter the profession. It takes a community to raise an intern! The most important thing to remember is this student is here to LEARN...not to be utilized as a workhorse.

Program Opportunities:
This program is designed to be beneficial for any level of intern, allowing them to
experience the landscape industry within the Design, Construction or Mainenance Departments. Each interns experience will be unique exposure to the Design/Build profession, with valuable time scheduled within the appropriate department for the duration of the internship.

Program Objective:
The Intern Program Opportunities are designed to help assist the student’s development of employer-valued skills such as teamwork, communications and attention to detail. Students will be exposed to the environment and expectations of performance and
procedures of Rocco Fiore & Sons. We strive to enhance and expand the student’s
knowledge of how properties are developed and installed. Skilled mentors provide the student with support in the early stages of the internship and provide an example of the behaviors expected in the intern’s workplace.
