Position Description

As a Training Developer you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
  • Develop learning content for Applied’s Sales/Field Implementation team members in a variety of formats including eLearning, micro-learning, virtual classroom, and classroom training in a timely manner
  • Interface with subject-matter experts (SMEs) and field educators for training needs and customize appropriate instructional strategies
  • Collaborate with a team to design, develop and deliver ongoing instruction for all learning solutions
  • Develop, maintain and coordinate training guides, support materials and training/job aids for various learning platforms
  • Develop evaluation/assessment metrics and feedback mechanisms to measure training effectiveness of various learning platforms and implement continuous improvements
  • Explore, evaluate and recommend new approaches, alternative technologies and modes for effective learning and organizational implementation


Position Requirements

  • 2+ years of eLearning, classroom, training, or other development and mentoring experience
  • Experience in developing learning curriculum 
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Service oriented and flexible with changes 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Windows, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Connect Webinar, Audacity (sound editing), Camtasia (video editing)


Preferred

  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Education in Life Sciences
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Pro etc.
