Summer 2021 Camp Administrative Assistant

Camp Weequahic is a residential summer camp for boys and girls aged 7-16. This individual would help with the daily responsibilities of our main office, including: answering the phone, supporting the directors, program and division heads, sorting mail, coordinating camper phone calls home and more. 

Responsibilities include:
*Being encouraging, positive, and enthusiastic!
*Helping meet staff members administrative needs.
*Collaborating and cooperate with office staff to help create the experience of a lifetime for our campers.
*Do whatever it takes to make this summer the best yet at Camp Weequahic.
We are currently hiring individuals who:
*Have completed one year of college (preferred, not required).
*Has basic office software experience (Word, excel, google docs, database management etc.)
*Are confident on the phone.
*Can pass an extensive background check and be cleared to work with and around children.

We offer a great salary with room and board included. Dates of employment are June 16th to August 9th, 2021.

This contract offers a competitive salary based on experience and includes travel expense reimbursement, housing, staff shirts, laundry service, three meals a day (plus snacks!) and WiFi.
During days off, staff spend their time hiking, spending a day exploring nearby Scranton--shopping or seeing a show, and taking in everything Pennsylvania has to offer. If you decide to stay on camp, staff can hang out in our staff lounge, workout in the fitness center, or use sailboats, kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards on the lake or just relax on the beach at the waterfront.
