Faculty - Biology (Bard High School Early College Baltimore)
Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) Baltimore, a partnership between Bard College and the Baltimore City Public Schools in Baltimore, Maryland, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Biology, beginning August 2019. Field of specialization is open.
The Bard early colleges enable talented and highly motivated students to complete a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree from Bard College within four years of study. The academic program emphasizes small classes and a commitment to teaching a diverse student body.
The successful applicant for this position must be committed to teaching classes at both the high school and college levels. In addition, candidates will be expected to participate fully in the life of the school, including student advising, club advising, and committee service. An M.S. in biology or related field and dedication to teaching are required. Candidates who will have a Ph.D. at the time of employment, or who are ABD, with high school and/or college teaching experience are preferred.
