User Research Intern

We are Mediate, an MIT-spinoff startup developing computer vision technologies for the visually impaired and the blind. We have released our beta product and have visually impaired and blind users from all around the world, who depend on our mobile application to be more independent.
We are funded by the National Science Foundation and Department of Veteran Affairs.

We are looking for an intern with previous user research who can assist our team understand and design the right user interaction modalities and interfaces. The intern can work remotely or in our office in Boston. The candidate will need to work 10-40 hrs/week depending on the intern's availability. It will be a great opportunity to participate in deep user research process, high-level product design conversations, a passionate user community and become familiar with innovative assistive technology development.

An ideal candidate will:
- be highly organized, reliable, and self-driven
- has previous experience with user research and especially user interviews
- is passionate about understanding and empathizing with people
- is interested in creating social impact, particularly on people with disabilities
