Newscast Director

WQOW News 18 is looking for an energetic creative professional to direct our evening newscasts. You will be responsible for the coordination and production of compelling live television newscasts and local programs. This position is full time.

This important position is responsible for directing, quality control, appearance, graphic creation, and video editing for our on-air product. This position is a key part of our newscasts and programming. In addition to directing, you will be required to shoot and edit video.

The ideal candidate will have experience with live directing, excellent computer skills, strong communication skills, and can be a leader in a studio environment. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, along with knowledge of cameras, non-linear editing, and graphic production. A two-year or four-year degree is preferred, but not required. If you are a quick learner and can communicate well, we want to hear from you!
