Software Development Internship

xOps is a new DevOps company based out of New York, and is offering the opportunity for new software development interns. DevOps services are growing in demand due to the increase in the information technology sector. xOps aims to provide DevOps, ITIL, and Process and Management Consulting. In addition, xOps can automate operations tasks. ​As a global company, xOps can bring the best in operations support at a low cost. We are a premier managed service provider (MSP) for Tier 1 and Tier 2 operations support.

The internship is available due to the need for continued development at xOps. The company needs programming assistance to get the full line of products up and running as soon as possible. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to company projects on the software development platform GitHub, which will also be used to train potential interns. Interns will have the opportunity to work with and learn from the highly experienced xOps staff. The position supports users practically anywhere, as the company works and holds meetings through Google Hangouts, which currently allows employees to contribute and work together from New York, to Wisconsin, all the way to Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities​ :
  • ● Assist with the Full Stack development of the xOps open source applications, such as xView, .... This includes front end development of the applications, working with the Angular framework and HTML and CSS languages. It also includes the back end development, using MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK Stack).
  • ● Interns would be working with a Scrum team in an agile environment.
  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • ● Proficient technical skills in building software applications, including use of the terminal
  • ● Basic understanding of Angular, TypeScript, MongoDB, and Node.js
  • ● Experience developing applications
  • ● Willing to learn from xOps experienced employees on the job
  • ● Ability and willingness to work with a team
