Environmental Planner

As an Environmental Planner within our Environmental Planning and Permitting Practice, you will have a hand in transforming tomorrow, supporting a variety of fast-paced water, transportation, and utility infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to develop your planning and permitting skills while growing your core skills in task coordination and leadership and being supported by a range of experts and industry leaders to help guide, mentor, and shape your career.
Responsibilities
  • Conducting research and drafting environmental impact disclosure documentation
  • Preparing permit application packages
  • Compiling project records and maintaining document storage
  • Organizing and summarizing technical material for several projects simultaneously
  • Traveling to client offices or sites in support of planning and/or construction projects
  • Coordinating with diverse technical disciplines to plan and facilitate project delivery
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an environmental, natural science, or planning-related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 0+ years of experience 
  • Familiarity with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and/or regulatory permitting processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites and client offices, as needed
  • Strong self-starter who enjoys a challenge and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
