Accounting Technician

As an Accounting Technician you will undertake personal responsibility for handling the accounting tasks for Facultative and MGA business units, which includes posting information to various programs, processing premium and claims payments, developing and implementing systems for analyzing, and reporting accounting data, in addition to, dealing with client/market queries, maintaining files, and administrative/technical support tasks for General Office Administration


Interacting with:

  • BMS Latin America (Miami, Uruguay)
  • Lions Gate
  • BMS Inc. and BMS UK team
  •  Clients, reinsurance markets and vendors
 

  Key Responsibilities

  •  Managing A/R and A/P for FAC and MGA premium accounts
  • Generate premium payments and MGA bordereauxs for Uwrs 
  • Claims data entry and payment processing
  • Daily and efficient communication with the Production dept.
  • To manage Accounting and Sales systems (data entry)
  • Assisting in various internal/external audits.
  • Maintains Accounting security by implementing internal controls. i.e. monitor PPWs
 

Key Accountabilities

  • To liaise with BMS production teams (Global and Local) regarding collection issues
  • To ensure successful completion of Financial and/or accounting monthly reports
  • To provide Customer Service and Quality Assurance.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting and compliance regulations.
