Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks a BC/BE general neurosurgeon to join a busy and growing hospital-employed practice. Excellent opportunity to work in conjunction with a multi-specialty trauma program, supported by skilled staff.Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Centeris a modern 411-bed regional tertiary care center, serving a population of 500,000 living in the northern 2/3 of the state's geography, We are designated as a Stroke Center of Excellence and is a base hospital for LifeFlight of Maine, a critical care air transportation service flying nearly 1000 missions per year.Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Centeris a Level II Trauma Center that offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services, including a robust, over-45-physician-strong, hospitalist service available 24/7.
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Centeris in the final stages of a modernization including a Neuroscience center with a concentration on Stroke and Complex Spine. This modernization will consist of upgrades to our facility, operating room and equipment including a state-of-the-art 3D C-Arm guide and Image Guided Navigation systems. Support services include in-house hospitalists, stroke team, neurology, interventional pain, rehabilitation, diagnostic neuroradiology, fully staffed ICU, PICU and NICU, with dedicated intensivists.
