Internship - First Lego League - Fall 2019

First Lego League Internship
The First Lego League (FLL) Intern will work with the Community Engagement staff in the production of the FLL season. First Lego League is a worldwide robotics program using LEGO® Mindstorms and SPIKE Prime robotics kits as its platform. Aimed at an international audience of students ages 9 through 14, this competition teaches real-world problem solving through engineering design and teamwork. Beyond the events, FLL also works closely with schools and other youth-based organizations to transform the perception of science and technology—inspiring kids who might not otherwise have found a love for these fields to pursue further studies and career paths in science and technology.

Duties for the FLL intern include completing field kits, collating team packages, attend trainings and events, preparing presentations, assisting with coach trainings, and preparing content for competition packets. The intern will assist with the preparation, administration, and execution of FLL events. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is responsible for the North Texas Regional Championship and assists with the facilitation of qualifiers leading up to the championship. The North Texas Regional Championship is on January 25th, 2020.

The FLL internship will run from mid August through the championship on January 25th, 2020. The intern must be available to attend the championship. The intern must also be available on Saturdays to assist with other FLL events.

Ideal applicants may have events experience with strong communications skills
