Internship - CEHJ/ Engagement Team Science Communication - Fall 2019

CEHJ/ Engagement Team Science Communication Internship
The Center for the Exploration of the Human Journey (CEHJ) is a dynamic team of archaeologists and science communicators dedicated to uncovering and communicating the science and stories around our shared humanity. The CEHJ is seeking an intern to work in conjunction with the Guest Engagement department to help train educators and interpret human origins content. This position is designed to provide professional training to an anthropologist interested in pursuing a career in science communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret human origins content for museum guests
-Develop exhibition programming for museum audiences
-Assist the CEHJ team in creating training resources for staff and volunteers
-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills/Education
-The successful applicant will be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in anthropology or a related field.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong time management and organizational skills
-Experience in informal education a plus
-Bilingual Spanish a plus
