Accountant – Intermediate Level
Our Accountant will process typical daily and monthly accounting transactions, perform analysis and explain variances related to manufacturing work in progress and ERP system transactions. The Accountant will have high attention to detail, customer service aptitude and strong sense of urgency to accomplish objectives.
Key Responsibilities
· Understand and conduct analysis of ERP system transactions
· Review work in progress for accurate manufacturing labor and material application
· Conduct month end GL reconciliation and closing of ERP system modules
· Manage daily transactional processing of AP & AR
· Lead credit and collections activities
· Process inventory adjustments and cost corrections
· Assign and track capital expenditures and entering of depreciation entry
· Maintain Research & Development hours and expense tracking
· Audit weekly cycle counts and assist in the twice yearly physical inventory process
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Knowledge of ERP systems and Asset Tracking Software
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
· Knowledge of GAAP
· Self-starter with drive and initiative
· High ethics and integrity; able to work with sensitive and confidential information
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong time management, organization and prioritizing skills
· Able to work on multiple tasks with competing priorities and tight deadlines
· Flexible to work overtime to meet month end requirements
Preferred Qualifications
· 3+ years Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
