6 Month, Full-Time Internship

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for supporting the AoA Accessories Team with Research, Planning, and Marketing activities.
  • Interfaces with multiple groups throughout the organization in support of projects.
  • Perform competitive research and in-depth analysis of competitive data on accessory options.
  • Compile, maintain, and ensure accuracy of product launch calendar, product specification, and communication materials.
  • Work with primary and secondary market research information for use in product proposals, presentations and supporting information.
  • Assist in gathering information and creating benchmarking studies on accessory packages, and applicability.
  • Create and assist with proposals and presentations for management.
  • Assist in preparing and executing accessories workshops and supporting special events.
  • Work on Special Projects and other Accessories Planning, Development, and Marketing tasks.
  • Inventory and maintain accessories storage and retrofit facility (maintain and track inventory in an excel spreadsheet, order, and assemble shelving, scrap obsolete products)
  • Using automotive technical knowhow, assist the accessories team in performing various test installs with accessory samples and fleet maintenance. Draft emails on fitment reports with Microsoft Word and Adobe to be presented to the Product Specialist and Technical Specialist
  • Using Microsoft Office tools, assist Accessory PIA sales by working in excel to calculate take rates and make sure regions are tagging to commitments.
  • Support the launch the New Product for New Vehicle launch. Assist with marketing specialist with pricing in the catalogs, marketing concepts, project tracking and drafting communications. Work with aftersales agency as a project manager to track the development of new marketing material.
  • Responsible for composing, updating and publishing news, accessories and content maintenance concerns on national online accessory catalog
  • Identify market trends through internet and social media research regarding accessories. Using Microsoft Power Point, communicate this research to the product specialist
  • Perform Fleet and shop maintenance
 Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months
  • Ability to learn new subject matter, concepts, processes and computer applications easily
  • General vehicle market and vehicle accessory knowledge
  • Mechanical inclination and Automotive Terminology knowledge a plus
  • Strong grasp of internet research
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize tasks based on importance and timing
  • Ability to develop meaningful conclusions from data and make proposals
  • Comfortable in presenting findings and recommendations to small groups of peers and/or managers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent Excel knowledge including formulas, referencing, linking, etc.
  • Extensive PowerPoint capabilities, including the ability to create aesthetically pleasing and functional presentations
  • German speaking/writing skills are a plus
  • Valid Driver's license. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles a plus.
