Bilingual Developmental Consultant Liaison

Duties:
HomeSafe has career opportunities for Bilingual Developmental Consultant Liaisons in our HEALTHLY BEGINNINGS program. Reporting to the Program Supervisor, this is a split position performing the duties of both the Hospital Liaison and the Developmental Consultant.

When following Hospital Liaison (HL) role: The Hospital Liaison is responsible for conducting screens and assessments for newly delivered mothers and newborns to determine eligibility status for Health Beginnings Entry Agency referral services. The HL effectively promotes program goals and communicates accurate information about the Healthy Beginnings program. This position will provide services in assigned hospital location(s) and may require scheduling flexibility in order to accommodate hospital schedules.

When following DC role: The Developmental Consultant (DC) is responsible for coordinating family services for assigned clients within the Healthy Beginnings system of care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, screening and assessment to determine program eligibility; parental education, system navigation, collaborating with Healthy Beginnings Entry Agency (HB/EA) and community agencies; and providing referrals and linkages to services for families with children ages birth through age 5 within Palm Beach County. This position will provide services in the field and requires flexibility with daytime and evening hours to accommodate client schedules.

Position office located in Wellington but will travel throughout Palm Beach County.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Services (preferably in a field such as social work, developmental psychology, and / or early childhood education) is required. A minimum of two (2) years in child welfare, primary prevention services, child development or related field. Experience working with newborns and newly delivered mothers preferred. A valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable insured vehicle required. Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Knowledge, skills and ability requirements include: excellent knowledge of child development and early childhood education; excellent assessment skills for children up to age 5; excellent problem solving skills; and excellent verbal, written public speaking and presentation skills. BILINGUAL ENGLISH/ CREOLE or ENGLISH/SPANISH REQUIRED
