Project Assistant/Project Administrator (LA, Baton Rouge)

Arcadis is seeking a Project Assistant in our Baton Rouge LA office to support project administration/financial project assistance for multiple project managers. The successful candidate must be interested in learning from technical design staff, be well organized and professional, able to interface/communicate with internal team members on tasks and projects, and able to work both on teams and independently.
 
This position provides a wide variety of administrative and technical staff support services at a team level. The position performs multiple related tasks and applies administrative procedures to track and document the resolution of problems which may be non-routine in nature.
 
Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships
  • A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to coordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with applications Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
  • Exercise independent judgment and evaluation.
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several assignments.
  • Excellent orientation to detail and strong database management skills.
  • Direct interaction with project team.
  • Assist in managing small- to medium-sized projects or programs of work, ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the required scope of work within set deadlines.
  • Work within established financial systems and clear project objectives to produce plans, schedules and track budgets, highlighting variances to manage and control project delivery targets.
  • Track and monitor project schedules and budgets for medium to large-sized projects.
  • Develop and analyze progressively more-complex written reports.
