Content Intern

Overview

Everest is a digital design agency in Chicago providing everything from user experience design, interface design, brand design, and full-stack engineering. We concept, design, and develop technology that helps companies and nonprofits connect with their audience and achieve their goals. We’ve spent the past two years leading product design and development for Fortune 500’s including Whirlpool, Capital One, Walmart, GEICO, and Discover Financial, and amplifying the impact of national nonprofits – creating over $2 billion in market value. Now we’re ready to keep the momentum going and quickly grow into the most highly recognized product agency in Chicago (and the world).

Role

You will play a pivotal role in the growth of Everest, partnering closely with Everest’s leadership team to construct a strategy for content development and syndication. In your role you will serve as our go-to resource for industry insights, gathering intel from thought leaders and players in the space to develop unique points of view. You will lead efforts helping us creating authentic and ground-breaking content with the goal of driving business growth. In addition, you will support our work as we develop white papers, internal collateral, and podcast in addition to overseeing all content production efforts. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research on key industries to and develop insights around industry trends
  • Track, follow and report back on weekly themes that are shaping the design, development and enterprise technology communities
  • Draft, edit, and develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers
  • Assist in expanding community and/or influencer outreach efforts, identifies opportunities for interviews and cross-promotion
  • Leads creation of content calendar and meets regular deadlines for new thought leadership content to support company-wide business goals
  • Oversee syndication design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Blog, YouTube etc.)
  • Syndicate content through online channels and assist in managing occasional social ad campaigns
  • Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews and respond to each review
  • Analyze key metrics and adjust strategy as needed

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and SEO a plus
  • PR experience a plus

Compensation

Compensation will be set based on experience and time commitment.

Candidates will be considered for this in-person role for the summer, and those returning to school in the fall may be considered to stay on in a part-time capacity, either remote or in-person depending on the school's location.
