Qualifications:
This position requires that the individual be a graduate of an approved school of Nursing (RN or LPN) and possess a current Iowa license. He/She follows all regulatory and reimbursement guidelines and documents legibly as required. He/She participates in quality management activities and documents as required. He/She has a good understanding of the proper administration of medications and their side effects. He/She is willing to continually upgrade skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:
The Nurse position is a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who, under the supervision of the Director of Health Services, is responsible for the well being and nursing care of all residents assigned to him/her during a shift. This includes conscientious documentation and drug administration and related duties per the Iowa Code regulating the practice of nursing. The Nurse functions in a responsible and professional manner with the policies, philosophy, goals and objectives of the Department of Nursing. He/She demonstrates nursing responsibility and accountability for assigned residents and their families. The nurse accepts instruction and guidance from the supervising nurse to provide interventions to achieve goals that are established for the plan of care to resolve nursing problems.

St. Luke Lutheran Home is accepting applications for licensed, part-time and full-time Nurses to work (3) 12-hour shifts per week and every third weekend.
