Website and IT Intern

GSNEO believes that an internship is an integral part of gaining professional experience. An internship should be used to help you identify a career path in your field of study, to gain experience and expertise in what you already like to do; to determine the skill level you need to develop to be successful after graduation; and to build your resume with your student work experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with website composition, to include creating and updating pages, automated forms, and customer service
- Create and edit Adobe Captivate training course modules for learning website
- Help with website accuracy by cross checking website assets
- Demonstrate dependability, honesty, credibility, and resourcefulness; ability to work with council information
- Become familiar and assist with the IT and website functions of the council
- Be guided in all actions by the Girl Scout Mission, Promise, and Law
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Available to work a flexible schedule (15-20 hours per week)
- Must be enrolled and majoring in a related field of study, earned a 2.50 or higher overall GPA, earned a 2.50 or higher professional GPA, and have completed specialized coursework appropriate for internship
- Familiar with Microsoft Office tools.
- Professional demeanor; comfortable working with staff to follow-up on requests
- Strong customer service ethic
- Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize while working on competing projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently as well as with a team.
- Computer skills: Know CMS, HTML, and Adobe Photoshop.
